Customs Declaration

A customs declaration is the official form filed with customs authorities that describes the goods in a shipment, their value, tariff classification (HS code) and other details customs needs to clear an export or import.

Filing the export declaration is the shipper's responsibility, usually handled by their customs broker, not the carrier's. Dealti coordinates the transit document (a TIR Carnet or T1), the CMR and border crossing around the declaration the shipper or their broker files.
