Less Than Truckload (LTL)

Less Than Truckload (LTL)
Less than truckload (LTL) is a mode of road freight where a shipment shares a vehicle with other shippers' cargo, because it does not fill the vehicle's volume or weight capacity on its own.

LTL is generally more cost-effective for smaller shipments than booking a full vehicle, though it can add time for consolidation and, depending on the route, an extra stop. See Less Than Truckload for the service itself.
