Full Truckload (FTL)

Full Truckload (FTL)
Full truckload (FTL) is a mode of road freight where a shipment occupies an entire vehicle, either because of its volume and weight or because the shipper chooses not to share the vehicle with other cargo.

FTL is typically faster than a shared load, since the vehicle goes directly from origin to destination without intermediate stops. It generally makes sense once a shipment is large enough to fill, or nearly fill, a standard trailer; smaller volumes are usually more economical as less than truckload (LTL). See Full Truckload for the service itself, or use the FTL or LTL tool to check which mode fits a specific shipment.
