# T1 Transit Declaration

A T1 is a customs transit declaration used mainly within the EU customs transit system and comparable transit regimes, to move non-domestic goods through one or more countries without paying import duties at each internal border, until they reach their final customs office of destination.

On some legs of the Turkey to Central Asia corridor, Dealti uses a T1 instead of a TIR Carnet depending on the countries and customs regime involved. Like the TIR Carnet, it is opened after export clearance and closed when the goods are presented to customs at destination.
