# Full Truckload (FTL)

Full truckload (FTL) is a mode of road freight where a shipment occupies an entire vehicle, either because of its volume and weight or because the shipper chooses not to share the vehicle with other cargo.

FTL is typically faster than a shared load, since the vehicle goes directly from origin to destination without intermediate consolidation stops. See [Full Truckload](/en/service/full-truckload) for the service itself.
